Thanks for the post Casey! It is a wonderful thing that Christ took sinners like us, and stole our hearts! May the Lord make that reality work itself out in our lives, drawing our hearts to Christ, that we may love righteousness, holiness and our savior more and more.

Thanks for the exhortation brother! Holding fast has been on my mind as well lately. That sense of desperately clinging to Christ is so prevalent throughout the New Testament. Our religion is not one of meaningless pie-in-the-sky beliefs, but it is real, down-in-the-dirt real, slogging through a world mired in sin, with hearts mired in sin, fighting it out, clinging to Christ. Thanks brother.

Thank you – I would appreciate your prayers. I’m feeling very unsure about how to aim given that I don’t know the Verona congregation. By the way, I think it’s really encouraging that you’ve selected Deut. 5:28 – that’s one of the texts I’ll be touching on as we try to answer the question, “Does God sincerely desire and earnestly long for the salvation of those whom He has not chosen to save?”. I’ll be brief on that text, though – I have a lot of other texts and I don’t want to steal any of your thunder I think when this sort of overlap happens it is an indication of God’s desire to bring a certain theme to bear upon our minds. It seems to be epidemic lately. That’s a very good thing.

By the way did you know that you can set up facebook to automatically import your blog posts? This way you dont have to manually post a link and the text of the post shows up in facebook as a facebook note.

Thanks for the post, Pastor Andy. I felt it was particularly appropriate for us. These are serious things, and they demand serious attention. We might need to find a place on the front page to keep him staring at us, repeating those words with his life, “don’t trifle- don’t trifle.”

Just to clarify, the user name and password are both case sensitive. The user name begins with a capital letter and the password (at least the initial one that I created) is all lower case.
